We are a theatrical flying and stage automation company that provide services to our valued clients both nationally and internationally. We are looking to hire a performer flying technician to join our small but highly dedicated team. 


As a performer flying technician you will install, commission, programme and operate theatrical flying effects and stage automation systems both in the UK and worldwide. You will need to work to a high standard, have a solid work ethic, and have a ‘will-to-win’ when faced with the inevitable challenges that naturally occur within this sector.


Our flying technicians will receive training (where needed) in general entertainment rigging, aerial performance rigging, stage automation and flying effects choreography. Rigging experience / NRC would be a bonus; however, our main aim is to hire a passionate, enthusiastic individual, who can work independently and as part of a team. Someone who isn’t afraid to work occasional long hours, whilst always maintaining a safety-conscious mindset during the performance of their duties.


The right candidate will be responsible for regular maintenance and inspection of our, and our clients aerial rigging equipment, and stage systems. They must be able to work safely within various rigging and theatrical disciplines, including but not limited to, stage automation, automated and manual performer flying systems and aerial performer apparatus, and will ensure that all work is carried out safely in accordance with company guidelines.


They will also assist with logistics matters, including communicating with clients and venues to establish best equipment and installation tactics deployed for the diverse variety of projects we undertake.


PREFERABLE KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:


·       A working knowledge of performer flying, theatrical rigging, maintenance, and inspections, including hemp / counterweight rigging, automated systems, winches and motorised rigging.

·       Have a good working knowledge of IT. 

·       Be a current IPAF holder.

·       Be a current NRC holder.

·       Hold LEEA qualifications.

·       Have current first aid training certification.

·       Cruise ship experience (automation department)


ESSENTIAL CRITERIA: Current Driving License, Car & Passport. Ability to speak, read and write in English.


TERM & SALARY: A full time position and competitive salary will be awarded to the right candidate following a successful 3-month trial period.
